Reverend Michael D. Jefferson, a Philadelphia native, is married to Evangelist Shirley D. Jefferson.  He has been the Elder of Christian Education for the Bible Tabernacle Church since 1993.  Reverend Jefferson has served as the Director of Employment and Training for the Crispus Attucks Association of York for over twenty-five years. He graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.  He received his “calling from the Lord Jesus Christ” at the Hampton Ministers Conference in June 2002, and was formally ordained to the office of Reverend on June 13, 2004. Rev. Jefferson’s passion for learning can be felt/seen/experienced  through his teaching/preaching. He is a preacher/teacher who believes education is the key to the opening the locked door of ignorance. Once unlocked, the door to abundant life in Christ Jesus can be opened.  Rev Jefferson is an avid believer in “only what you do for Christ” will last. He has served as the Secretary for the Black Ministers Association of York and has led its Associate Minister’s Education and Training Committee. He is a member of the Scholarship Committee.  He serves the community in his commitment to the Bible Tabernacle Christian Center Prison Ministry, where he serves along with his wife.
